Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) 2007
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is the University’s major research degree. The Melbourne School of Graduate Research administers PhD degrees, which are awarded by the University.
Approved candidates undertake a research program under the supervision of at least one member of academic staff. The first 12 months of a PhD program is known as probationary candidature. Enrolled Master of Science candidates can apply to transfer to PhD candidature after a period of twelve months.
