The Science Student Centre is staffed by experienced people who may be able to answer your questions and provide general advice on the following:
- Course requirements
- Subject changes *
- Workload limits and overloading
- Leave of Absence and Discontinuation
- Selection and internal transfers
- Special Consideration
- Referral to other University services

Student Advisers are generally available by appointment between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
To make an appointment with a Student adviser:

- Prepare, for your appointment, by referring to other sections of this website, the University's Course & Subject Handbook, your Student Diary etc for information.
Student Advisers are also available for on call advice in the Science Student Centre, Monday to Friday.
Course requirements
Course requirements (ie what you must do to complete the course, rules regarding the subjects you are able to study, etc) are detailed in the Course & Subject Handbook.
It is your responsibility to refer to Course & Subject Handbook for full details about the requirements of your course.
Course advice for non Melbourne Model students in BIS, BASc & combined courses
For course advice relating to the other (i.e. not science or information systems) component of your course, you will need to contact the other Student Centre or department as indicated below.
